'Honest Packaging' consists of seven folding boxes. The CO2 generated in the making of each packaging is compared with the CO2 impact of everyday activities, like attending a three-day music festival or cultivating flowers in the UK.
Different printing techniques are used to showcase GBGT Box's expertise both in packaging and printing. And at the same time educating their audience of the environmental impact of packaging.
'Honest Packaging' arrives in a custom-made packaging that serves as a snug container for the boxes and demonstrates the variety of folding boxes that GBGT Box can produce.
Powered by their own wind energy, GBGT Box trims down its carbon footprint without skimping on the quality or craftsmanship of its premium packaging. Building on A Lovely Atmosphere, which highlighted their rigid boxes, Honest Packaging shifts the spotlight to folding boxes. While most in the packaging world shy away from discussing their environmental impact, GBGT Box dives in headfirst, setting a new standard by openly sharing the CO2 footprint of its products.
Understanding carbon emissions isn’t exactly light reading. That’s where Honest Packaging steps in, blending awareness with responsibility. By translating the carbon impact into everyday comparisons, like attending music festivals or driving a car, GBGT Box makes environmental data relatable and a bit more fun. So you don’t need to be a chemistry teacher to understand the climate cost of your packaging.
Honest Packaging pairs each of its seven boxes’ CO2 footprints with a comparison, like how they stack up against a binge of your favourite TV-series or cultivating a season of flowers. One box clocks in at just 6.2% of a tennis ball’s lifecycle emissions. The CO2 footprint is printed on the fronts, inviting curious minds to explore side-by-side comparisons. With a mix of materials and printing techniques, Honest Packaging is as much a crash course in sustainability as it is a showcase of GBGT Box’s craftsmanship.
The CO2 generated from the production of each box is printed on the front. The boxes can be compared to see what factors drive the CO2 output, while also showing that design with a low environmental impact can still have a high visual impact.
