The duo behind Terri Timely thank their penchant for “offbeat humour and atypical narratives” for their success; characteristics honed in their earliest music videos and still at the heart of their big-budget spots today. Even the name of their company is bizarre.
As a team of commercial directors, Terri Timely didn’t have much use for elaborate branding across multiple applications. But where it was required, it needed to stand out and immediately communicate their subversive nature. Since Terri Timely is short for Terribly Timely, a clock motif seemed a natural choice and a concept called ‘It’s Terri O’Clock’ was developed.
The Terri Timely logo mark is an elegant but playful take on a clock with the company name spelled out across its face. Although a simple solution, it comes with some unusual flourishes: a smaller alternative logo is used for the TT website’s favicon and avatars, while the clock hands feature as animated patterns for their showreels and function as a simple pattern detail on business cards. Finally, an absurd easter egg is hidden on their site.
The original logotype has a simplified alternative that can be used for smaller areas like avatars, favicon etc.
The listed times are when the clock handles form an exact T on the logotype clock featured on the Terri Timely website. We call it Terri O’clock — and it’s when crazy things start.
