The new symbol uses the shadow of the T from the word mark to play on the boundary of visible and invisible, inspired by Transparent’s products.
Clarity. Sustainability. Craft. Transparent makes strikingly beautiful products by stripping away complexity, considering every detail, and using fewer and better materials to arrive at a product that is refined and purposeful. It’s about doing more with less.
The brand needed to have the simplicity and elegance to match the product. The name was refined from ‘Transparent Speaker’ to the more powerful and suggestive ‘Transparent’. The design strategy, ‘Timeless, modular electronics’, gives the company a new guiding light. And the concept of shadows is used to visualise the sense of transparency.
The stronger name reflects Transparent’s minimalistic design and the clear visual expression of the products. To bring it to life, a new word mark combines the craft of calligraphy with a condensed sans serif. A new symbol for the brand, the shadow of the T from the word mark, plays on the boundary of visible and invisible, just like the company’s products.
The visual element is inspired by how sound waves behaves in the air. It works as both the actual grid and as a marker for recognition and communication. It is the grid – revealed.
